The Grand Fondo will start from Southworth at 7am on the 100 mile course. (this is a timed event at extra cost).

The Peninsula Metric Century (PMC) is a challenging ride through the scenic Kitsap Peninsula. Enjoy panoramic waterfront views, rural countryside, and lots of rolling hills. Choose from routes of 50k, 70k, 100k or 100m at two convenient start locations. Riders will enjoy a well-marked course, support vehicles, fully stocked rest stops, and dessert at the finish line.   

Members, please Volunteer for the PMC and help your club. Remember Volunteer ride free before or after your shift.

Route Choices             From

  • 70k (44m) loop crosses the Narrows Bridge, by Wollochet Bay, Crescent Valley and Olalla Valley
  • 100k (67m) loop through South Kitsap County and the Gig Harbor Peninsula on rural roads with rolling hills.
  • A very challenging 100-mile loop with more than 7,000 feet of elevation gain.

  • 50k (29m) loop along Puget Sound and on rural roads with rolling terrain in South Kitsap County
  • 100k (62m) loop through South Kitsap County and the Gig Harbor Peninsula on rural roads with rolling hills
  • A very challenging 100-mile loop with more than 7,000 feet of elevation gain.

  • In person: You may register on site the morning of the event, but fees are higher. Pay by cash or check (we may accept debit/credit cards this year). Tip: bring a completed registration form with you to save time.
Families with minor children
For registration purposes,  children aged 17 or under may ride when registered with an adult parent.
Parking and Transit Service There is ample free parking at each start location. In any case, we encourage you to cycle, carpool or use public transporation. The Tacoma start location (new) is at the Park & Ride across from the Narrows Theater.  The Southworth location is served by Kitsap Transit and the Fauntleroy ferry.
Rider Safety Please come prepared to ride. We recommend you inspect your bike the night before. Along with your bike, bring an approved helmet, ID, water, first aid kit, tire repair equipment, other essentials, and a friendly attitude. All riders are expected to ride safely and obey the rules of the road.
Ride Support Rest stops supplied with food, drink and sani-cans. Sag wagons will be near the route for mechanically stranded riders. Course closes at 5pm. Final sweep by sag wagons begins at 4pm.
Event Proceeds Rider registration fees for TWBC events help to support the Bicycle Alliance of Washington, bicycling safety and education programs, and local bicycle improvements. Surplus food is donated to a local food bank.
Volunteers This event is powered by dozens of TWBC volunteers—who receive free ride registration and a post-event pizza party at the Clover Leaf Tavern. Help make this event a success: volunteer form is coming soon.
