Spokes Feople Against Cancer Event.
July 327th - 28th promises to be a
memorable weekend of leisurely,
scenic, historic cycling and
sightseeing around South Fuget
Sound. Im addition to fun-—and
fellowship, riders will experience
a sense of satisfaction in having
collected contributions to aid in
the crusade against cancer.
For only a nominal registration fee
plus minimum sponsorship, riders
will receive a train ride, ferry
ride, overnight motel acomodations,
2 dinners, i breakfast, a T-shirt.
and a water bottle! Flyers were
enclosed in last months newsletter.

Thank-you for making
annual Fenisula Metric
successful metric yet.
274 riders participated in this
year’s metric. SO Tacoma Wheel men
rode the Feninsula this year. And,
the wheather was the best ever.
I?’d like to recognize the 30+
workers who helped make the metric
happen. You are the ones that make
our Wheelman’s successes possible.

In August, the Ride Around
Washington (RAW) committee will be
at our meeting to tell us about
what they've planned for the
Washington State Centennial 1967.

(<?S that time again. On Sunday ~uly Sist, the Tacoma Wheelmen are having the club picnic at American Lake North County Fark (see map). Bring the whole family we've got something planned for everyone FLACE - American Lake North! County Park as TIME ~ i10AM till 7 s RIDE START ~ 10:30 (15-20 mile easy paced code 1 ride) Be LUNCH —- 2230 The club will provide the pop, hot dogs, and chili.

GAMES - The official Wheelmen Olympic Games are scheduled ta begin at 1:30. Davis Tours will be sponsoring the world famous Red Team. We understand that théy will be challanged by the not So famous (but a bit faster) duer Team captained by Lori Wohl huaters.: These

raised is used for our bicycle
education programs. They will be
available at all Thursday night
rides, or call Greg at 752-4248.
This is a beautiful 3 day ride through .the Stillaguamish, Sauk, and..Saghomesh River valleys. It is a-camping Fide, but 4 meals are provided along the way. - On September 14 & 15 the 2nd Annual
- Fackwood Hotel Ride will take
- place. T-shirts will be available
- for $12.00. Two dollars of this
- will be given as a donation to The
- Childrens Orthopedic Hospital.
- Camping will be available if the
- rooms at the hotel are sold out. A
