SEVENTH ANNUAL DAFFODIL CENTURY
ABOUT THE RIDE: The Daffodil Century is a 100, 50 or 20 mile bicycle
tour sponsored each year by the Tacoma Wheelmen's Club on the last
Sunday in April. The route consists of both a 20 and a 50 mile loop,
both of which take the rider along relatively flat land and offer
spectacular views of lakes, forests and Mt. Rainier. The Daffodil
Century is not a race. It is purely a social and recreational event
and it is expected that all participants ride safely and lawfully.
WHEN AND WHERE: The Daffodil Century begins at Orting City Park in
Orting, Washington on April 25, 1984.2 The course will be open from
7 AM to 7 PM. โ
REGISTRATION: You may pre-register by sending the attached form to:

Pre-registrations must be postmarked before April 20. Pre-registrants
receive a $1.00 discount. Registration may also be accomplished the
day of the ride at Orting City Park and forms will be available there.
Fee includes a custom-designed patch for all finishing riders.
SAGWAGON: The Southwell's van will be circling the course repeatedly
throughout the day. to give assistance to broken-down or worn-out
eyelists.
FOOD: There are many restaurants and stores in Orting and Kapowsin an a few are also scattered along the course. :
WHAT TO BRING: April is usually warm and shorts are appropriate, but
have warm clothing available. Helmets are recommended for all riders.
Also bring a patch kit and pump in case of a flat. Make sure your
bike is in good mechanical condition.
