T-shirts and Posters
The second edition T- shirt has created much attention. More colors and the appealing design has made it a hit. Anticipating the Foothills Rails-to-Trails shirt to be an ideal Christ- mas gift, we have stocked up and have plenty avail- able in all sizes. The T-shirt at $7 is a bargain. They come in white, dark blue and sea mist green with a multi-color logo. A T-shirt purchase becomes a great investment as it shows you are a trail booster.
Another way to help
broadcast the news is to
buy a Foothills Rails-to-
Trails poster. The colorful
poster is 18" x 24", suitable
for framing and depicts the
Sun.

4 1988 has been an exciting and eventful
year for the Tacoma Wheelmen's Club.
Qur club continues to grow with new members and activities for all to enjoy. We continued to ride, every weekend, year round. Our Daffodil Classic and Peninsula Metric were again very successful, and our reputation for offering high quality, low cost cycling events has spread. We hosted the Northwest Tandem Rally and gave 209 tandem enthusiasts some wonderful memories of Tacoma and Pierce County.
We helped with rodeos and bike safety talks, making kids (and adults) more aware of safe cycling habits. Our support of the Foothills Trail and its fundraising coalition was greatly appreciated. Our members enjoyed social events such as the banquet, the club picnic, a salmon BBQ, the Halloween party, and we still have the Christmas party coming up. Our meetings were well attended with interesting and entertaining programs. We camped, hosteled, and traveled. Yes, it's been quite a year for the TWC. I hope you'll all join me in thanking the many volunteers who make this all happen -- with special thanks to the board members who lead us.
