Program 8:00 pm

O’Callahan’s Restaurant
La Quinta Motel Inn

It is time to sign up for the banquet. If you have never attended a TWC banquet, we guarantee it will be the best $10 of entertainment you've ever spent. Our menu will be Chicken Cordon Bleu and Prime Rib. Our bar will be "no host".

During our program we will honor those who have worked so hard making 1989 a great year of cycling. We will reminisce about 1989, recognize many “special” and “not-so-special" awards.

Then, we'll cap off the evening with our annual
slide show.

THE SECOND ANNUAL
GREATER SEATTLE BICYCLE
EXPO

The Tacoma Wheelmen’s Club will be joining the fun and merriment at the Greater Seattle Bike Expo on February 23 & 24. Held in the Northwest Rooms at the Seattle Center, this event allows the public to pick up Chilly Hilly registration packets, get first shot at registering for STP, and have the opportunity to register for many other cycling events - including our Daffodil Classteand Pearasela Metric. There will also be stores and manufacturers displaying some of the latest in bicycling stuff.

We will be looking for some people to staff our
table during the 14 hours of the show (Fri, Feb
23, 2 - 8 pm, and Sat, Feb 24, 10 - 6). Call
Diane Lister (752-8636) if you’re interested in
spending a few hours helping out at this fun
event.

We have two new nominees to become club officers - Joan Johnson has offered her time to be Secretary, and Greg Grenier has volunteered to be President. Elections for these two positions will be held at the January club meeting. Be sure to come and show your support.

Our Peninsula Metric chairman, Phil Burgess,
will not be available to chair this event. (He’s
working in Saudi Arabia for the next several
months!)

Once again we must ask for new volunteers - be brave! You can do it! There is lots of help available for the new Chairperson(s) of the Peninsula Metric. Call Greg Grenier (752-4348) or Diane Lister (752-8636) if you would like to be chairperson of the Peninsula Metric for 1990.

HEADED FOR THE FUTURE!

Have you mailed in your TWC Club Survey yet? Remember - this vital feedback will guide the board in decision-making for our club’s future.

Take a few minutes, fill out your survey, and
drop it in the mail. This club will become
whatever the membership makes it It’s up to
every one of us!

EXPOSE THE CLUB

Tell everything. Hold nothing back.
Go to our booth at the Bicycle tixposition
at the Seattle Center on Friday and
Saturday, the 22nd and 23rd of February,
and give peeple the low-down on who we
are and what we do.

Timing is everything. The very next day, Sunday, February 24, 1991 is Chilly Hiily Day. Chilly Hilly is traditionally the first organized bicycle ride of the new season on the Bicycle Federation of Washington and League Of American Wheelmen’s ride calendar(enclosed in this issue).

Karen Whitney, TWC’s chairperson for the Bicycle Exposition, needs your help to run our booth in three-hour shifts. This is an opportunity to represent our Club by promoting our rides, including the annual Daffodil Classic(April 28, 1991), and the Peninsula Metric(June 2, 1991). You can also provide new people a chance to join our Club.

Call Karen at 565-2742 and tell her
when you can help. She is at attention
next to her phone waiting, waiting,
waiting, with new year expectation, to
hear from YOU.
