I really have been impressed with our racers and their training schedule. If you all continue with the training as you have been ex- pressing to me, we should have a strong team. You more experienced racers might not benefit from this suggestion but you new racers might. The suggestion is keeping a training log. Recording mileage, pace, terrain and most importantly how you feel. Monitoring your body should be of prime concern to you and your training schedule. Don't forget that diet and sleep also affect your body and performance.
Now, if you develop any problems, either with riding or sore muscles (if serious, check with M.D.), don't be afraid to discuss them with
your fellow teamates.
Our Saturday Ttornine rides have started. I encoursge all to at- tend. These are on rain or shine, 9 a.m. at the Point Defiance Park
entrance.
Thank you all for updating your club dues.
Riding tip: If you went to go faster or aprly more pressure to the pedals, increase the amount of bend in your elbows.
Trsain don't strain,
Mark Overfield
