Sharing rides to events

This means to both touring and racing events. It would be a nice
jester to help pay for the gas used to get you to the event. The
person driving has been kind enough to take you, you should be
kind enough to help pay your way. A dollar or so is certainly
cheaper than a whole tank of gas.

The plans for the Daffodil Century are progressing weil. The patches have been ordered and paid for. Many pre-registrations have been coming in, with the last count somewhere above 30. We still need people to help with registration ark 2 of the 3 check points. If

you can help-give Bruce rushton a call at 537-3888

BICYCLE ACTION REPORT

Let's act on this! The Washington State Department of Transportation is proposing a 27%across the board rate hike for all ferry rides. We, as bicyclists are now asked to pay a disproportionate. amount for all fares. In effect we are subsidising cars. This cate hike will ask us to add to car support even more. We should not allow this policy to be adopted. Write to the address and asi that we pay only a

token fare beyond the foot passenger fares. Our bicycles are small and light. They will be getting more ferry service and the bikes

do not take up any usable car space.

Please write your concerns to:

Mr. William Bulley
