User Data Deletion Policy

1. Introduction

At Tacoma Washington Bicycle Club (TWBC), we respect your right to control your personal data. If you no longer wish to be a member or use our services, you can request the deletion of your account and personal data in accordance with this policy.

This policy outlines what data will be deleted, what will be retained, and how to request deletion.

2. What Data Will Be Deleted?

When a user requests deletion, we will remove the following personal data from our systems:

Membership Account (Joomla Membership Pro)

• Full Name
• Email Address
• Mailing Address
• Phone Number

Newsletter & Communications (Google Groups)

• Email Address removed from our Google Group
• You will no longer receive club announcements or newsletters

Facebook & Google SSO Data

• We will revoke authentication access for Facebook and Google SSO.
• No further login will be possible using these accounts.

3. What Data Will Be Retained?

In compliance with club policies and legal obligations, we will retain the following:

Ride Waivers & Event Participation Records

• Any signed waivers or liability agreements related to past club rides or events.
• This data is retained for liability and insurance purposes and cannot be deleted.

Anonymous Aggregated Data

• Any participation history or ride statistics that do not contain personally identifiable information.

4. How to Request Account Deletion

To request deletion of your personal data, follow these steps:

Email Request: Send an email to privacy@twbc.org with the subject "Account Deletion Request".

Verification: We will confirm your identity via email before proceeding with deletion.

Processing: Your data will be deleted from our systems within 30 days of confirmation.

Final Confirmation: You will receive an email once your request has been completed.

5. Revoking Facebook & Google Login

If you have used Facebook or Google SSO, you must also remove TWBC’s access from your social media account:

For Facebook:

• Go to Facebook Settings > Apps and Websites
• Find TWBC Portal and select Remove

For Google:

• Visit Google Account Settings
• Navigate to Security > Third-party apps with account access
• Select TWBC Portal and click Remove Access
